Who We Are
Mr. Maxey's Tea is an online company retailing tea to customers in Canada and the U.S.A. We have been in business since the early 1990s based in Inglewood and now Ramsay, two of the oldest communities of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. We purchase our teas from the origin countries and have close connections with many of the growers.
You may already know us! Mr. Maxey's Tea manages the online tea sales from our shop, Tea Trader, situated in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you're in the area, you're welcome to place an order for next day collection from our shop.
Our Brand Story
Why have we chosen a new name? We wanted to separate our online tea business, with its accompanying media as a distinct brand focused on all things related to tea and the many varieties we stock. You can follow us for tea news and you can follow Tea Trader for all the local content that our local customers in Calgary enjoy.
When you order tea from Mr. Maxey's Tea, you will still be in touch with Ted, Kate, Joan, Julia and Tegen. We haven't changed our suppliers, our existing blends will continue and we continue to include samples with our orders. We look forward to hearing from you!

Tea Trader is located in the historic Ramsay Design Centre, one of Calgary's oldest communities. The iconic red brick building is filled with old teapots, canisters, and tea chests collected over the decades. Every visit feels like stepping into a world where tea is a story waiting to be told.
